This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Denmark in May and will be broadcast live across Europe. Although difficult, it is not impossible to raise the quality of the popular show even higher, according to the Faroese native Per Zachariassen, who will be Senior Producer of the show.
Never before has a Faroese company made as much profit in a year as the aquaculture company, Bakkafrost, made last year. The company’s annual finances, which were published two weeks ago, showed an operating profit of 97 million Euros before tax.
Around mid April the Norwegian oil company, Statoil, will resume the drilling of a well in the Faroese continental shelf that the company started in 2012. Another drilling project will commence in the Faroese continental shelf later this year.
