The international channel, Travel Channel, has turned their interest to the Faroe Islands. Over the next few weeks the channel will be making two films about the Faroe Islands, one relating more specifically to the Faroes as a tourism attraction and the other about the famous music festival, G-Festival to be held this coming weekend.

Officals of the Faroes Islands and Shetland Islands are working towards investment opportunities and increased cooperation between the two countries in the not too distant future. The latest visit by the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Faroe Islands to Shetland last week has taken such opportunities one step closer.
