In the Faroes, a handful of entrepreneurs have combined our rich natural resources with our vast maritime know-how, scientific knowledge, and solid networks in order to develop new techniques and state-of-art knowhow to benefit the industry as well as the environment. This is the cornerstone of the competitiveness and future growth of Faroese marine biotech.
The Faroe Marine Research Institution specialises in fishery, biology, oceanography, and aquaculture. The consulting company Bitland houses entrepreneurs that specialise in maritime industries and techniques. The House of Entrepreneurship works to advance innovation by advising entrepreneurs and promoting new projects, many of which relate to the maritime industries.
Please see the Faroe Business Report for more information on initiatives within the martime industries. Also see our list of current investment projects.
